  • Archery Club

    BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! Join us for the second season of Big Lake Archery Club! Archers come together to share in their love for archery in a fun, confidence building, and team focused environment taught by certified NASP BAI coaches. Kids of all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to join the team with newcomers to the sport needing to attend the Intro to Archery Club pre-season class. Equipment is available for students to borrow during the season. If using your own bow, it must be a Genesis Original bow. Tournament competition registration and tournament jersey purchase will be separate and al a carte style to match your archers needs. If your archer will be competing in tournaments, please make sure you purchase a tournament jersey. Register and purchase a tournament jersey before Jan. 5th to have before our first tournament. Registrations from Jan. 5th-end of day on Jan. 15th will have your tournament jersey around early Feb. Register before December 23rd, to receive your free practice shirt in the first order and to have it before season starts in Jan. A second practice shirt order will be placed in January for those that register after 12/23. 4th-12th graders will be eligible for NASP tournament competition while 3rd graders will only be eligible for NASP Junior tournaments and Team participation in Juniors Tournaments is TBD. Please also keep in mind your child must attend school at Indy STEM Elementary, Big Lake Middle or Big Lake High School/Online to be eligible for tournament competition. Team and individual pictures will be taken on Feb. 9th from 6-8pm with Lommel Photography at the Indy STEM Elementary cafeteria. Arrive slightly before 6pm in your tournament jersey or practice shirt for the full team picture then stay to take your individual photo afterwards. We will pass out photo order sheets at practices in the end of Jan. You can also pre-order online with Lommel as we get closer to Feb. 9th. Register early as spots will fill up quickly! If you are interested in the exciting world of visual art and would like a fun and safe space to create and share art with your friends, then you belong in the Art Club. Two Thursdays each month we meet in Mr. Kedrowski's classroom after school to visit and create art in a shared studio space. Everyone is welcome and free to work at their own pace in whichever way they see fit.

Camp ends with scrimmages/games the final day where players can showcase their skills. DASH Sports Summer Pickleball will provide participants with an introductory experience to the game in a fun and positive atmosphere. Emphasis is on technique and game play. Key elements of serving, returning, volleys, overheads, and lobbing will be taught and practiced. Camp ends with games on the final day. Participants should wear athletic wear, and bring a water bottle. Campers also should bring a pickleball paddle (if you don’t have one, we will provide paddles).
