  • 3D Printing: Star Wars

    Students will design 3D objects using TinkerCAD (an online web app) and use the 3D slicing program Cura to bring their creations to life. We will be designing a droid. Your 3D model will be printed and mailed home. Additional Technical Requirement: TinkerCAD (login information provided during class) and a PC needed (Windows or MacBook), will not work on Chromebook, tablets, or phones.
  • Art Wonderland

    In this class you will learn how to create winter inspired art using various mediums. Including watercolors, paints, colored pencils and markers. Together we will create a snowman cartoon, marshmallows swimming in hot chocolate, a mouse with his cheese block Christmas tree and more! Come join in the fun!
  • Arty Party

    Let your child play with art at Ms. Warren's art party. This hands-on class encourages creativity and teaches basic art with entertaining and exciting projects. Ms. Warren will teach your child how to turn a blank canvas into a beautiful piece of artwork. We will be painting with acrylic and watercolor while also discovering how to play with oil pastel and chalk blending. Students might also choose to play with materials like clay, cardboard, yarn, or wool.
  • Babysitters Club

    Are you excited to become a babysitter? Join us for this class to learn current practices of caring for children and starting your own babysitting service. Students will learn basic safety, first aid, feeding and more. Bring a lunch and a drink for this class.
  • Basketball Blow-Out Boys & Girls Grades 1-5

    Come join the Boys Varsity Basketball team and staff for a fun, one night event! This will be an evening of fun basketball activities for all 1st-5th grade boys and girls. No need to have previous basketball experience, this is for all skill levels. Participants will have the opportunity to join the varsity players on the court in exciting team competitions and photo opportunities. Participants will also receive a t-shirt, pizza and drink. With the t-shirt, your young athlete will get into a select varsity home game for free (remember to list your child's size when registering).     Big Lake Girls Wrestling program will be offering weekly practices for girls ages Kindergarten-12 grade, all levels welcome! You may try one class for FREE just stop in and fill out our paper registration with coach Melissa Smith. Open to girls from surroundings communities. This clinic will be perfect for girls newer to wrestling, but also fun for girls with experience as this is a great way to bring a friend and introduce them to the sport. Please wear gym clothes. Legging or shorts, tshirt or tank top, and please wear socks.     This course introduces students to Minecraft circuit-building and engineering concepts using Redstone. We will build 2-3 electrical contraptions in this course.   • Family & Friends Pottery

    Enjoy a creative afternoon together as families build and create pottery for lifetime keepsakes. Any group is welcome to join from parents or grandparents and children to couples or a couple of best friends! This hands-on class teaches basic pottery skills with a variety of simple projects, and ceramic techniques. Individual and family projects offered. All participants must be registered individually. Projects will be fired and ready for pick up approximately one week later, the CE office will contact you when they are ready.

    Calling all artists! Like to make art? Looking for a place to relax and create art? Come join us in Fitz Art Club after school! You can bring projects from home you want to complete or we can create something here! Art Club members will have access to all kinds of art materials they can use in the art room to bring their creations to life. Bring a nut-free snack and a drink.
  • Fondant Fun Winter Wonderland Cookie Decorating

    It's winter time, come and celebrate this holiday season with your friends and decorate some Winter Holiday themed cookies. Students will be using both Fondant and Frosting (whatever they choose) in this class. At the end of this class you will bring home some beautifully decorated cookies for your family!! YUM! A fun class activity is also planned while the cookies are drying.
  • Friday Night Ski/Snowboard Trips Grades 6-12

    New to skiing or snowboarding? Not a problem, lessons are available. Need a lift ticket, equipment or lessons? We have a package that will suit your needs. Buses depart from the back of the High School Loading Dock (Door I) shortly after class dismissal 3:30 pm. Buses return to the front of the high school at approximately 9:30 pm - Door N. All participants must ride the bus to and from Powder Ridge. NOTE: Middle School students you may store your equipment by the courtyard doors before school. High School students will be advised at a later date which room they will be able to store their equipment. Please remember to fill out all questions online for this registration. Payment is to be made in full at time of registration. No scholarships will be available for these trips. Watch the website for further details in October. In case of inclement weather and a trip is cancelled it will be added to the end of schedule. You will be notified of cancellations via announcements at MS and HS, email and text notifications.   • Game Coding: Mario Kart

    In this class, we introduce students' programming concepts using Scratch. Scratch is a drag-and-drop creative coding platform developed by MIT. Students will be instructed to make a Mario Kart - style game. Then pick custom characters, track to customize their games. Additional Technical Requirements: Scratch and Scratch account (Instructions will be emailed) and a PC needed (Windows or MacBook), will not work on Chromebook, tablets, or phones.
  • Ghost & Goblin Cake Pops

    Cake pops are made for kids, and now they can make their own! We'll teach you how to combine just the right amount of cake crumbs and buttercream icing to create tasty cake pops in fun GHOSTLY designs! You will learn to read a recipe, follow directions, how to melt candy melts and kitchen safety. At the end of this class you will bring home some beautifully SPOOKY cake pops for your family!
