GRASP is a correspondence program in Reading & Math for Grades K-8. There is also an on-line version of GRASP for grades 4-8. The program seeks to help students retain skills learned during the past school year by providing review exercises.
A student is enrolled in reading and/or math in the grade level just completed. GRASP has 9 lessons to be submitted during the summer—one per week. Each lesson reinforces the basic skills typically found in most curricula at that particular grade level. GRASP staff score the lesson and return it to the student with comments. Students who successfully complete at least 7 of 9 lessons by the deadline are awarded a GRASP certificate. A medal is awarded for 9 successfully completed lessons. The first due date is June 14th and the final deadline is August 9th, but submitting them early will give the opportunity to do a retake if need.
When registering, select the grade your child is just completing so they review material they've learned. If your child is ahead or behind grade level, order the appropriate level. Fees for one (1) subject is $35 and $65 for two (2) subjects.
DEADLINE TO ORDER PACKETS IS APRIL 30!
Please note: It is important that this form and fee should be returned to Big Lake Community Education no later than APRIL 30, 2024. Phone: 763-262-2523. All materials will be sent home with the child by the last week of school. Login information will be emailed by GRASP.
*In order to keep costs from increasing, please provide your email address to receive lesson results. All Kindergarten Reading will be mailed back after scoring.
