We will jump on a tour guided bus and arrive at the Anoka History Center around 10:15 am. View the exhibitions and gallery. You will explore galleries at your own pace and visit the gift store. Depart from the History center around 11:30 am and enjoy a narrated riding tour of history and mystery. You will arrive around 12:45 pm at Green Haven Golf Course. Don't forget to choose your lunch selection when registering. Final destination....Hans' Bakery where you can purchase some of Han's famous baked goods. Deadline to Register: Oct. 9 TRIP DETAILS 9:15 a.m. Leave Eastview Elementary, 9375 Fenning Ave. No., Monticello. Load in parking lot. 9:30 a.m. St Michael Elementary - 101 Central Ave W, St Michael 55376 - Pick up in the parking lot on the front of the building. 10:00 a.m. Arrive at the Anoka History Center. 10:15 a.m. Take a tour through the Exhibit Hall and Library, celebrating both the told and untold stories of Anoka County.The Anoka County History Center features approximately 2,000 square feet of display space in the gallery hall. Exhibitions have been nationally recognized and tell the story of Anoka County and its people with objects, photographs, and documents from the collection. A portion of the exhibit space is reserved for a military gallery. This has featured all the major conflicts since the Civil War. 10:45 a.m. After the guided tour, explore galleries at your own pace and visit the gift store. 11:30 a.m. Depart with your Anoka step-on-guide on a narrated riding tour full of history and mystery. This historic village is situated on two rivers. A perfect place to power the saw mills. Enjoy the folklore, the traditions, industries and culture that has caused the community to thrive. 12:30 p.m. Drop off the guide. 12:45 p.m. Arrive at the Green Haven Golf Course for lunch. Menu: Choose at sign up 1.) Walleye Sandwich Flour dusted, Lettuce, Tomato, Lemon Wedge & House Tartar Sauce, Fries, Beverage 2.) Chicken Parmesan Angel Hair, Italian Herbs, Panko, Marinara, Mozzarella, Parmesan served with Garlic Breadstick, Beverage. 2:15 p.m. After lunch, shop at Hans' Bakery with some “history in the baking.“ It reopened in 2014 with Hans Birkner's original recipes, some of the original bakers and original customers. You can purchase Hans' famous German Beehive, some old fashion donuts, mint brownies, apple fritters, cookies and more. 2:45 p.m. Leave Anoka. 3:15 p.m. Estimated return time to St. Michael. 3:30 p.m. Estimated return time to Monticello.
