NEW! Mississippi River 100-Mile Cruise | All-Day River Cruise Dubuque to Quad Cities September 13-15, 2023

It’s happening! We’ve partnered with some local communities to bring this trip to Big Lake! Leave on Wednesday morning in a deluxe motor coach bus that will bring you to Dubuque, IA. You’ll make a pit stop for lunch at the Family Table in Decorah IA, attend the Mississippi River Museum, progress through 3 historic sites in Dubuque, and enjoy a progressive dinner. Next morning you’ll leave for the Port of Dubuque and board the Celebration Belle for the 100 mile Mississippi River all day cruise. On Friday you’ll travel to the John Deere Pavilion in Moline, IL. Further details will be updated in 2023. Price includes deluxe motor coach transportation, tour guide, lodging for 2 nights, attractions and meals. Gratuities are included on meals and attractions. DAY 1 - WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 2023

6:30 a.m. Leave Eastview Elementary, 9375 Fenning Ave. No., Monticello.Load in parking lot.
6:45 a.m. Leave St Michael Elementary, 101 Central Ave W, St Michael 55376
9:00 a.m. Make a comfort stop at the Apache Mall in Rochester.
9:15 a.m. Leave Rochester.1
11:00 a.m. Have an early lunch (included) at the Family Table in Decorah, IA.
12:00 p.m. Leave Decorah.
2:30 p.m. Arrive in Dubuque at the Mississippi River Museum.
4:00 p.m. Leave the Museum
4:15 p.m. Check into the Best Western Plus Hotel. A full-service property. Dubuque, IA 52003
5:15 p.m. Leave the hotel with a guide for the Progressive Dinner. Progress through three of Dubuque’s historic sites: 7 Hills Event Center, Steeple Square, Fannie Stout House.Enjoying entertainment, music, delicious food and wonderful company along the way. During this guided experience you will be mesmerized as costumed docents and local historians share facts about what made 19th century Dubuque so distinctive and why it was, and continues to be, the “Masterpiece of the Mississippi.”
9:15 p.m. Estimated return time to the hotel.

DAY 2 - THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2023

Passengers will leave their bags (ready for pick up) in the room. [The hotel will put them on the coach when the driver returns from dropping off passengers.]

6:00 a.m. Leave the hotel for the Port of Dubuque.
6:30 a.m. Arrive at Port of Dubuque, IA and board Celebration Belle for the 100-Mile Mississippi River all day cruise to the Quad Cities.
7:00 a.m. Sailing Time
Join the Captain and Crew and become Tom Sawyer or Huck Finn for the day! On board chefs prepare three fresh meals right on the boat. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks are included. The 800 passenger, Celebration Belle is fully ADA compliant with an elevator onboard. This is a narrated excursion with the captain pointing out interesting sites. There are onboard activities and exceptional entertainment. Experience locking thru Lock and Dams and see the beauty around every bend in the mighty Mississippi River. There are two observation decks to sit and enjoy the views, visit “Best of Everything” gift shop on the 3rd deck and stop in the pilot house to say hello to the captain on the 4th deck. The Celebration Belle is the largest non-gaming excursion riverboat in the Upper Mississippi River.
6:00 p.m. Estimated arrival into the Quad Cities. (River traffic will determine arrival time.) [Bus driver will deliver bags to hotel. Bags will be in the rooms when guests arrive.
Motor coach will transfer group to the Hyatt Place - East Moline, IL. There is an indoor pool, fitness center and restaurant at the hotel.

DAY 3 - FRIDAY SEPTEMBER15, 2022

7:45 a.m. Have bags ready for pick up and enjoy breakfast (included) in the hotel restaurant.

Leave the Hyatt Place Hotel
9:00 a.m. Arrive at the The John Deere Pavilion in Moline, Illinois. The pavilion serves as the official Visitor Center for John Deere.See vintage machines up close and explore interactive exhibits. Discover how our heritage connects us to our future.
10:00 a.m. Leave Moline
12:30 p.m. Arrive in Cedar Falls, IA for lunch (included) at Texas Roadhouse.
2:00 p.m. Leave Cedar Falls, IA.
4:00 p.m. Arrive at the Albert Lea Trails Plaza Center for supper (on own)
4:45 p.m.
Leave Trails Plaza Center in Albert Lea.
6:45 p.m. Estimated return time to St. Michael
7:00 p.m. Estimated return time to Monticello.
