Big Lake Gardening 101 Series

Learn the basics of vegetable and flower gardening in this series presented by the City of Big Lake, Big Lake Community Education, and the Sherburne County Master Gardeners. 

  • Dress for the weather.
  • Bring your own gardening gloves and trowel if you have them.
  • Registrants should plan to attend all four scheduled classes.
  • Registrants will work together to maintain the Gardening 101 Class Plot throughout the gardening season.
  • In the case of inclement weather, the Gardening 101 Classes will be either moved indoors or to the following Wednesday at 6pm. Registrants will be notified via email of any changes.
  • Harvest will take place on September 17th. Registrants will be encouraged to sample the fruits of their labor. The rest of the harvest will be donated to the Big Lake Food Shelf.
